Dustin W. Manwaring, raised in Blackfoot, Idaho, has lived and practiced law in Pocatello as a business and intellectual property attorney since 2010. Manwaring has strong Idaho roots, returning to the “Gem State” after attending undergraduate at University of Utah and law school at Drake University in Iowa. During law school, Manwaring served as a law clerk for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Iowa.  Prior to that, Manwaring worked as a manager for Utah-based SkyWest Airlines in Salt Lake City.

Manwaring’s law practice has grown into a very busy firm serving many individuals and companies in Idaho, around the United States and abroad as outside house counsel. Manwaring has appeared and successfully argued cases before the Idaho Supreme Court and the Ninth Circuit Bankruptcy Appellate Panel.

Rep. Manwaring was re-elected in 2020 to the Idaho House of Representatives for a second term. He currently serves on the Revenue & Taxation Committee, Resources & Conservation Committee, and Transportation & Defense Committee. In 2021, Manwaring was appointed to serve on the Governor’s Cybersecurity Taskforce.

In 2018, Manwaring was nominated by the Speaker of the Idaho House and chosen as one of fifty state legislators from across the country to participate in the Emerging Leaders Program, sponsored by the State Legislative Leaders Foundation and the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. Manwaring received the 2017 Idaho Young Republican Elected Official of the Year award from the Idaho Young Republicans and was recently awarded as one of Idaho State Business Journal’s 20 under 40 young professionals. He was selected to travel to New Zealand in 2018 with the American Council of Young Political Leaders as a rising leader to help foster mutual understanding, respect, and friendships among the next generation of leaders.

In 2016, Manwaring was first elected as the only Republican state representative in the 29th legislative district, representing the City of Pocatello and surrounding area in the Idaho House of Representatives. Manwaring served on the Business, State Affairs, and Local Government committees.
